Paul Simon thought the way to address your relationship issues was to slip out the back Jack, make a new plan Stan, or forty eight other relatively tame ways to solve the problem, but Hollywood has taken that a little further over the years, with many a story of lovers not just being left, but left for dead.

And our Hollywood unhappy spouses haven’t always taken the most straightforward of methods when it comes to doing the deed.

8 Hollywood ways to kill your spouse

  1. Drowning (Drowning by Numbers, 1988)
  2. Electrocution whilst fixing the lights (The Perfect Stalker, 2016)
  3. Poison their food (Lady Macbeth, 2016)
  4. Set fire to their feet (Provoked: A True Story, 2006)
  5. Poison the donor heart they are about to receive (Awake, 2007)
  6. With a hammer after they become a possessed clown (Clown, 2014)
  7. Hire Matthew McConaughy to do it for you (Serenity, 2018)
  8. Fake a slip in the bath (Postman Always Rings Twice, 1946)
Jessica Alba, Awake (2007)

Now you’ve got to say that poisoning the donor heart that your partner is about to receive is spectacularly…

Being a father of five girls definitely does not qualify me as an expert in parenting!
