Hi Michelle, Thanks for reading and responding. As humans I think we all go through ups and downs, and with that change our reactions to those around us change.

I've certainly not said that I love any children less than the others, or even treat them differently, but there are times in life when we prefer (favourite) some things over another.

In many situations the youngest child gets favoured treatment as they are 'cute' or remind us of the fact that they might be our last child, but then in others we relish the fact that with older children our relationships have changed to become more 'adult' and we don't have to be so hands on with the day-to-day.

I don't think that makes me a shitty dad, but it makes me human, with an understanding of how relationships fluctuate.
